Big Small Town Books acquires YA fantasy from Hannah B. Olsen

Updated: Jul 13, 2020

Big Small Town Books has acquired Hannah B. Olsen’s young adult fantasy novel A KNIGHT FOR A QUEEN, in a deal secured by acquisitions editor Aimee Renee Robinson.

In this gender-swapped take on Cinderella, Princess Charissa wants to escape the duty of having to marry the prince of an enemy nation to end a long, bloody war. Elsewhere, Elliot longs to become a knight in order to gain freedom from his abusive stepfather and reclaim his family home. Fate drives Charissa and Elliot to meet at the Woodland Games, where they realize they might find the answers to both of their problems in each other.

Hannah B. Olsen is a Colorado native who, along with her husband and two children, now calls Appalachia home. She studied creative writing at Valparaiso University. Olsen has written for newspapers, magazines, and blogs, but her heart is in fiction writing and telling stories. Olsen also enjoys photography, graphic design, and travel.

A KNIGHT FOR A QUEEN is slated for publication this winter. Look for a cover reveal and information about pre-ordering the book later this summer.
